Why is it called “The Green Room”?

A "green room" is a common term among creatives, speakers, and performers for a dedicated space they can use to prepare or relax before they walk out on stage. We chose the name "The Green Room" to reflect our aim to provide youth with a space to prepare, relax, and grow into their next stage in life. Green also holds deep significance for us as it is often used in the Qu'ran to describe the blessings of Paradise.

When You’re Here You’re Home.

Green room - when you are here you are home

This reflects the Islamic principle of Ummah (أمة), the concept of a united community bound by shared values and mutual care. This phrase signifies that The Green Room is more than just a physical space; it embodies the spirit of unity and solidarity central to Islam.

Here, individuals find a sense of belonging, safety, and comfort, much like home. The commitment to fostering a welcoming atmosphere, where everyone is treated like family and support, connection, and growth are prioritized, mirrors the Islamic tradition of hospitality, compassion, and communal support.
