Why is it called “The Green Room”?

A "green room" is a common term among creatives, speakers, and performers for a dedicated space they can use to prepare or relax before they walk out on stage. We chose the name "The Green Room" to reflect our aim to provide youth with a space to prepare, relax, and grow into their next stage in life. Green also holds deep significance for us as it is often used in the Qu'ran to describe the blessings of Paradise.

When You’re Here You’re Home.

Green room - when you are here you are home

Our slogan is more than a phrase—it is a call to belonging. It draws on the Islamic principle of Ummah (أمة): a united community bound by shared values and mutual care.

The Green Room is more than a physical space; it seeks to embody this spirit of unity and solidarity at the heart of Islam. Here, people find belonging, safety, and comfort—the very qualities a true home should provide. Our commitment to fostering a welcoming atmosphere, where everyone is treated like family and where support, connection, and growth are nurtured, reflects the Islamic tradition of hospitality, compassion, and communal care.
