Meet Nuha

If you’re looking for support on your steps toward well-being, Nuha is here to help.

Nuha is a Registered Social Worker pursuing her master’s in clinical social work. With almost ten years of engagement in social work, mental health, and community development, Nuha has demonstrated a deep commitment to creating safe, inclusive, and empowering spaces for young Muslims. In her practice, she fosters a person-centred environment where safety, growth, and reflection are co-created.

As a Muslim woman of mixed Arab and Indo-South African heritage, she understands the value of spirituality, culture, and faith in one’s health and well-being journey. Nuha focuses on integrating Islamic psychological principles into her counselling practice and is pursuing her Traditional Islamically Integrated Psychotherapy (TIIP) certification at the Khalil Centre. She believes in the inherent strengths of individuals and aims to empower her clients through a collaborative approach, ensuring they feel seen, heard, and valued during their sessions.

Nuha is joining The Green Room as a practicum student. The Green Room was once a pivotal space contributing to her growth and development as a young Muslimah. This personal connection drives her passion for giving back, and she feels honoured to support the space that once supported her.
