This project began in Amiskwaciy-wâskahikan; Treaty 6 Territory and Métis Nation Region 4, the traditional gathering place of many Indigenous Peoples including Cree, Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Dene, and Saulteaux. Treaty 6 is also the home of the first Mosque on Turtle Island - the Al Rashid.
